Privacy

What we collect

When you fill in the enquiry form we collect your name, email address, phone number, the address of the site, and whatever you write in the message. If you send drawings, a survey or photographs by email, we collect those too. That is all of it. There is no tracking on this site, no advertising pixel and no analytics. The one outside service a page can load is a video, and only if you press play: see Video, below.

The site keeps a single session flag in your browser, so the opening animation shows once per visit rather than on every page. It is not a cookie, it is not analytics, and it is never sent to us or anyone else.

Why we collect it

To answer your enquiry, to work out whether we are the right builder for the job, and to price the work if you ask us to. We cannot quote a build without knowing where it is.

Who sees it

Temple Construction Group. If pricing your job needs a number from a consultant, a supplier or a subcontractor, we may pass on the part of the scope they need in order to quote. We tell you before we do. We do not sell your details and we do not trade them.

Your enquiry reaches us through two service providers based in the United States: Vercel, which hosts this website, and Resend, which delivers the form to us as an email. It then arrives in a Microsoft Outlook (Hotmail) mailbox, which Microsoft stores in the United States. These providers handle it only on our behalf.

How we hold it

Your enquiry, and anything you attach when you email us, is kept in our business email mailbox, an Outlook (Hotmail) account run by Microsoft. On the way to us it passes through the website host and the email service that deliver it, Vercel and Resend. It is sent over encrypted connections, and access to the mailbox is limited to the business.

Video

The home page has a video hosted on YouTube. Until you press play, nothing is loaded from YouTube: the picture you see is served from this site. When you press play, the video loads from YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain, youtube-nocookie.com. From then on YouTube, which is run by Google, receives your IP address and browser details and may store information on your device, under Google's own privacy policy. We receive nothing from it.

Marketing

An enquiry does not put you on a mailing list. If we ever start sending anything beyond a reply to you, we will ask first, and every message will carry a working unsubscribe link.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that did not become jobs: we delete them within two years. Jobs we built: seven years after completion, to cover our tax records and the statutory warranty periods for home building work.

Getting a copy, or having it deleted

Email or ring us and ask. We will send you what we hold, correct anything that is wrong, or delete it, within 30 days.

If something goes wrong

Tell us first and we will fix it. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with how we handled it, you can take it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au (opens in a new tab) or on 1300 363 992.
